Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
Excellence in maintaining food safety and sanitation practices.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with other servers, kitchen staff, and care team members in a fast-paced environment.
Effective time management skills.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to exercise good judgement and make confident ethical decisions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to navigate dining areas safely while serving, which can include frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Nice To Haves

Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal service.
Assist residents with menu selections and accommodate dietary restrictions.
Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
Serve meals and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service.
Engage with residents and guests to create a warm and inviting dining atmosphere.
Provide personalized attention to all residents, taking into consideration any mobility, memory, or sensory limitations.
Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with special events, holiday meals, and family gatherings as needed.
Build positive, professional ongoing relationships with residents, families, and team members.
