About The Position

The Gabriel Archer Tavern is looking for an outgoing and positive individual to provide exceptional service on the Williamsburg Winery property. Enjoy beautiful vineyard views while pouring wine and loving what you do! The ideal candidate would be dependable, friendly and have a positive attitude. We are willing to train the right person!

Responsibilities

Greet guests in a timely manner, able to provide information on our specials, out-of-stocks, and current promotions.
Be knowledgeable about the menu and make suggestions as requested. This includes information on the local products as well as wine pairings (we also provide on-site wine classes!)
Take food and beverage orders, input into our sales system, and ensure accuracy before delivery.
Assist in beverage preparation, gathering condiments, and expo work.
Deliver food to tables and response to additional requests guests may have.
Issue bills, collect payments and enter into our system accurately and efficiently.
Clear tables as needed.
Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Complete opening and/or closing side work such as setting tables, sweeping, setting up the beverage station, restocking and rolling silverware.
Additional tasks may be required.
Ensure the building is properly secured if the last to leave.
Monitor the presence and activities or any outside personnel.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
Report any injuries or accidents immediately to management.
