Every day, we strive to create lasting memories for both our guests and team members and now, we’re seeking a Server to help lead that mission at Mezzo Mezzo, a new, all-day restaurant built by a collaborative, hospitality-driven team. Inspired by its Italian namesake meaning “half and half,” Mezzo Mezzo transitions from a morning coffee shop serving locally roasted coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches to an evening pizzeria with a full-service bar. In this role, you’ll be responsible for serving food and beverages in a precise, timely and professional manner while ensuring high standards of customer service. Nestled in the heart of downtown Minneapolis' vibrant entertainment district, The Lofton Hotel offers an upscale escape where modern luxury meets Midwestern charm. Steps away from premier shopping, dining, and nightlife, our hotel is seamlessly connected via the Minneapolis Skyway, placing you moments from Target Center, Target Field, and U.S. Bank Stadium. Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items
- Ability to read, sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, speak and write the English language to communicate with the guest, and take orders
- Ability to transport large awkward trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift
- Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate

- Prior cocktail experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, attentive and professional service to guests
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver beverages and menu items with knowledge of ingredients and presentation
- Collaborate with bartenders and support staff to ensure smooth service
- Handle cash and POS transactions responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area along with personal hygiene
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed
