Requirements

Must have high-level knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, communicates with guests to explain and record orders.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
Ability to operate a keyboard, learn Point of Sales procedures to pre-check orders, and close out the check.
Prior food and beverage experience required.
Ability to learn wine varieties, vintage and labels.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness, discusses water choices - bottled or tap.
Records the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy. Up sells with each opportunity.
Retrieves orders from Food Runner, ensuring all items are to specifications. Abides by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Replenishes beverages as necessary and checks with guests for overall satisfaction.
Collect payment for check, always thank guest and invite them to return.
Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation along with personal hygiene.
