Requirements

  • Meets assigned shift requirements.
  • Regularly push, pull, and carry objects.
  • Stand and walk on foot at least 6-8 hours.
  • Reach at shoulder level and below waist constantly, above head occasionally.
  • Above head occasionally.
  • Bending downward or forward at waist or knees occasionally.
  • Talk and listen to communicate instructions.
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
  • Able to visualize accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
  • Possess a valid Food Handler Safety Cart issued by the Southern Nevada Health District.
  • Works in an air-conditioned environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cash handling preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a host or server preferred.
  • Basic math and writing.
  • Able to interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.
  • Trustworthy with company property.
  • Enjoys multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Punctual and dependable.

Responsibilities

  • Wait Help are responsible for reporting to store management and making sure all guests are well taken care of. The wait help position provides courteous and efficient guest service throughout the duration of the guest's dining experience in the restaurant.
  • Effectively handles assigned section by greeting guests, taking orders promptly, accurately inputting orders into the POS, processes guest checks and payments properly.
  • Efficiently serves food to guest, refills drinks for guests, and busses tables promptly after guests leave.
  • Is knowledgeable and can describe menu items, ongoing promotions and special menu items proficiently. Answers guest inquiries in a purposeful manner.
  • Maintains a constant flow of communication with kitchen staff and informs guests of their order status.
  • Prepare and serve beverages and desserts.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary work and guest area through constant cleaning, organizing, and replenishing of necessary items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
