About The Position

Ovation Communities is seeking a Server to serve meals to the residents and guests in the dining room. You will also take used service items out of the dining room.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates strong communication and relationship building skills with residents, and is able to explain residents’ needs to others as needed for resident advocacy.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Previous wait person experience preferred.
• Food handling certification is highly encouraged for this position.
• Specialized training or experience in geriatric care or gerontology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set-up independent and assisted living dining rooms prior to meal service.
• Fill and re-stock various food, condiments and supplies, either in the kitchen or the dining rooms.
• Assist in the seating of residents and guests as necessary.
• Wait on tables, using proper service procedures.
• Take plates, food, etc. away from tables when resident is completed with the item/meal.
• Assist guests and visitors with the proper ordering procedure in the dining rooms.
