About The Position

The Server role provides food and beverage service to our guests in our restaurant outlets while exhibiting excellent guest service.

Requirements

  • Experience with POS in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, or casino required. Experience serving or waiting tables preferred. 1 year of experience cash handling required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to create a positive guest experience with both internal and external guests.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work through multiple tasks at once. This includes the ability to work calmly and effectively under deadlines. Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to work individually or with a team as necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, calculate fractions, and multiply.
  • Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent and personalized food and drink service to our guests by engaging with each guest in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Takes food and drink orders accurately and efficiently. Ensures orders are delivered to the guest in a timely manner and all requested items are accurate.
  • Exhibits a strong knowledge of the restaurant menu and stays up to date on changes and specials. Explains the menu to guests and provides assist with questions or concerns.
  • Performs side work as assigned in a timely manner. Works as a team with all staff members to ensure an excellent guest service experience.
  • Works with the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately enter orders and charge guests for their orders. Handles credit card and cash transactions and ensures accurate change.
  • Follows all responsible service of alcohol guidelines including service times, monitoring for signs of intoxication, and checking identification for age requirements.
  • Sets up and maintains cleanliness and organization of work area according to food safety standards and sanitation requirements.
  • Performs all duties in a positive, professional manner. Maintains a clean and professional appearance according to company standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to perform all assigned tasks.
  • Ensures all safety standards are met, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible service of alcohol and food handler certification through Prairie Flower training courses.
