About The Position

We are a high volume, local restaurant that serves high quality food in a casual atmosphere and strive to provide excellent service to all that enter our doors. We are looking for a server who will be responsible for our guests dining experience at our restaurant, to succeed in this role you will need a positive attitude and work well on your on as well as with the rest of our team. Amsterdam Cafe was founded in 1991 and has become a staple restaurant to the Auburn community! We offer our guests high quality food in a casual, inviting atmosphere! We also have 2 Food Trucks on Auburn University campus, and will soon be adding two new locations in Auburn to serve our growing community!

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a server, similar style restaurant preferred
• Positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system

Responsibilities

• Take food orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner
• Have knowledge of our menus and ability to make suggestions
• Prepare checks and take payments
• Maintain cleanliness of your section and the restaurant
