About The Position

As a Server at Denny's, you will be responsible for welcoming guests and providing attentive service throughout their visit. This role involves accurately taking and relaying orders to the kitchen, promptly delivering food and beverages, and utilizing upselling skills to recommend specials and popular menu items. You will engage guests with guiding questions and confident menu recommendations, and invite them to join the Denny’s Rewards Program by explaining its benefits. Maintaining a clean and organized dining room, efficiently processing various payment types, and collaborating with both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) team members are also key aspects of ensuring smooth service and a positive guest experience.

Requirements

Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Confidence in upselling, menu recommendations, and guest engagement
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Must be 18+
Flexible availability — nights, weekends, holidays

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Server, Waiter, Waitress, FOH Staff, or in customer service preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organized dining room
Process payments efficiently (cash, card, digital)
Work collaboratively with FOH and BOH team members to ensure smooth service
