About The Position

The Server provides dining room service to residents and guests in accordance with service standards, and also assists with the set up and cleaning of the dining room. These activities will fulfill the SageLife Mission and demonstrate the We Care Values and the Sage Associate Promise. Requirements

High school or GED equivalent.
One year of experience as a server.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to read, speak, and understand English at a 12th grade level or higher.

Nice To Haves

Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.

Serve food and beverages to residents and guests, answering questions about the menu and making recommendations.
Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
Clean tables after residents and guests have finished dining.
Perform general cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, and taking out trash.
Ensure that residents receive appropriate food choices for any special dietary needs (diabetic, low salt, etc.).
Assist with special events and social hours.
Keep current with state and facility required annual training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
