About The Position

The Fine Dining Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to member and their guests through attentive, personalized, and polished service. The Server delivers food and beverages to members and guests, offers informed menu recommendations, prepares and maintains dining room tables and service stations, and processes payments in accordance with Club standards. The Server may assist bartenders and event servers as needed for specific activities. The Server must maintain knowledge and understanding of menu offerings and member preferences. No supervisory duties are included in this position.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess current TIPS training or be able to complete such training within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver's license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.
  • Skill in the use of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mechanics.
  • Ability to use point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred: 1 year experience as waitstaff, server, or similar position.
  • Experience in a private club or fine dining environment.
  • Experience with Club Essentials point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

  • Set up station and perform assigned work.
  • Provide warm, professional, and discreet service to members and guests throughout the dining experience.
  • Distribute menus; fill water glasses; answer questions and make recommendations for menu items.
  • Take member/guest orders, place orders with kitchen as prescribed.
  • Communicate any special requests, dietary restrictions, and concerns with efficiency and tact.
  • Serve food utilizing synchronized, efficient, and polished table service.
  • Demonstrate foundational knowledge of alcoholic beverages and wine, including common varietals, spirits, and basic service standards.
  • Serve beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to members/guests; verify age requirements for the purchase and consumption of alcohol.
  • Conduct timely and attentive table follow-ups to ensure satisfaction, address any additional needs, and advise Food & Beverage Manager of any complaints as they are received.
  • Suggest and serve dessert, coffee and after dinner/meal drinks.
  • Present and collect payment of bill according to Club policy; verify appropriate billing account for member/guest charges.
  • Maintain all dining areas, tables, and bus station areas in a clean and orderly state.
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues to ensure seamless service and consistently high-quality member and guest experience.
  • May use Club vehicles to transport supplies, sundries, and similar in support of bar and event operations.
  • May assist bartenders, bussers, food expeditors, and event servers in support of Food & Beverage operations.
  • Anticipate member needs and preferences, offering personalized service whenever possible.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
