About The Position

The Server position at Lakeview Terrace Retirement Community involves providing dining services to residents in a compassionate and efficient manner. Requirements

• Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, and write English for effective communication.
• Ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 35 lbs, and walk or stand for up to eight hours.
• Must be trained in the Heimlich maneuver or willing to be trained.

• Previous serving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room by setting tables and stations according to dining room standards.
• Maintain a clean and attractive dining area and work station at all times.
• Greet residents and guests.
• Assist in selection of food & beverage choices by suggesting menu items and explaining chef's specials.
• Stay updated on current menu choices and specialties.
• Keep stations stocked at all times and restock dishes, trays, and cutlery during service.
• Ensure resident satisfaction by serving food and beverages in a timely manner.
• Accurately take resident and guest orders and input them into the Point of Sale system.
• Responsible for cleaning and care of equipment and work stations.
• Perform food preparation as directed by management, emphasizing proper food handling and safety.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments of equipment and work areas.
• Comply with all governmental sanitation codes.
