About The Position

As a Server at JOEY Restaurants, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. This position requires a passion for hospitality, the ability to anticipate guest needs, and a commitment to providing friendly and attentive service. You will be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the JOEY legacy as the restaurant opens its first location in San Jose in Spring 2025.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of customer service experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• A passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Physical ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, frequent bending, reaching, and stretching, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Assist guests with navigating the menu options and recommend food and beverage items based on their preferences.
• Ensure timely and accurate input of orders in the point-of-sale system.
• Monitor and assist with the delivery of guest beverage and food orders.
• Prepare final guest checks in a timely manner and process payments securely.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with urgency and poise.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol sales in accordance with state law.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.
