Server

The Server position at Chickies & Petes involves interacting with guests while adhering to established service standards. The primary responsibility is to take guest orders and deliver food and beverages, ensuring that the quality of the food and overall guest experience is exceptional. This role requires the server to greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, provide detailed information about the menu items, including preparation methods and ingredients, and address any food allergy concerns. The server must maintain a positive attitude, perform light food preparation duties when necessary, and follow all service standards, including up-selling and suggestive selling. In addition to serving food and beverages, the server is responsible for checking the quality and presentation of the food before serving, verifying guest identification for alcohol service, and managing alcohol-related situations appropriately. The role also includes processing guest payments, thanking guests sincerely, and inviting them back for future visits. The server must ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset promptly according to sanitation standards, respond to guest complaints effectively, and perform marketing and promotional services as needed. The position requires the server to complete various side duties at the beginning, during, and at the end of shifts, and to attend all scheduled employee meetings. The server must understand the importance of speed of service and act with a sense of urgency in all tasks. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, making flexibility and teamwork essential components of this role.
