About The Position
The Server position at the Grand Junction Depot's Homefront Tea Room involves providing exceptional service to guests by serving food and beverages in a fine dining environment. The role requires maintaining a welcoming and clean dining ambiance, ensuring that all surfaces and areas are presentable, and responding to customer inquiries with detailed information to establish trust. The server will be responsible for busing, cleaning, and resetting tables to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests. This part-time position is ideal for individuals looking to enter the workforce or those returning with limited experience, as it offers paid training and encourages applicants of all ages, including older job seekers. As a Server, you will work closely with a team of 5-7 employees per shift, reporting directly to the Food and Retail Manager, Tabitha Lusk. The typical work hours are from 9 AM to 2 PM, with shifts primarily on weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. While the job does not require a high school diploma or GED, having a basic understanding of food service and customer service is preferred. The role emphasizes the importance of communication skills, independent problem-solving, and the ability to manage time effectively, whether working as part of a team or independently.
