The Server's role at Uccello's Ristorante is pivotal in delivering First Class Service to both internal and external guests. This position requires a commitment to the company's Mission Statement, which emphasizes friendly and timely interactions with guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for suggestive selling, answering questions, taking and delivering orders, and following up to ensure that each guest receives their correct food and drink orders. The role demands a high level of customer service, where exceeding service standards is expected with every interaction. You will be required to treat guests and peers in accordance with the company's core values, ensuring a welcoming and positive dining experience. In addition to serving, you will present the menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service. Observing guests to respond to additional requests and determining when meals have been completed is crucial. Knowledge of the restaurant's menu and products is essential, as is the ability to process payments efficiently while adhering to cash handling and loss prevention procedures. You will also need to be familiar with daily specials, liquor, beer, wine products, and desserts to enhance guest loyalty and selling skills. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is part of your responsibilities, along with supporting other areas of the restaurant as needed, such as seating customers and answering telephones. You will respond appropriately to guest concerns and complete all side work duties, which may include sweeping and mopping. Ensuring responsible service of alcohol and compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding food safety is also part of the role.
