About The Position

The Server at Liberty Senior Living is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to tenants and guests in a senior living environment. This part-time role involves ensuring a positive dining experience, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, and assisting tenants with their meal selections. The position requires good communication skills and a neat appearance, adhering to the company's dress code.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6 months or more experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or country club.
• Willingness to obtain a food safety certification.
• Experience in a service-oriented profession preferred but not necessary.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards the elderly.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to tenants and guests in the dining room.
• Assist with seating arrangements and ensure availability of seats for tenants during meal times.
• Set and clear tables, ensuring proper arrangement with flatware, napkins, and placements.
• Maintain cleanliness of china and flatware, ensuring they are free of spots and stains.
• Assist tenants in selecting their meals when needed.
• Clean the dining room and serving area between meals and at the end of the shift, following sanitation schedules.
• Prepare and plate food items such as salads, soups, desserts, and beverages.
• Keep supplies stocked in the serving area.
• Manage guest charge tickets, resident declining dollar, point of sale, and room service forms.
• Assist in washing dishes and utensils, gathering soiled items, and placing clean items in storage.
• Clean tables and chairs, vacuum dining areas, and mop kitchen floors as needed.
• Follow safe food preparation methods and monitor temperature records for food safety.
• Report guests' complaints and grievances to Dining supervisors promptly.
• Create a positive dining experience that promotes independence and well-being for customers.
