Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Deep understanding of wine pairings and ability to offer thoughtful drink suggestions.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
• Experience working in a restaurant environment, such as a steakhouse or fine dining establishment.
• Knowledge of wines, drinks, recipes, and garnishes.
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity.
• Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.
• Ability to operate point of sale systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with guests, staff, and management.
• Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Availability must include evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm smile at your designated area and engage them.
• Gather entree orders with enthusiasm and ensure inviting communication.
• Inform guests of any specials and have a thorough understanding of the beverage and food menu.
• Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests' needs.
• Clear empty plates and glasses from tables and place quickly in bus carts.
• Prepare silverware neatly and quickly at the table and clean the area when finished.
• Ensure guests' orders are accurately recorded in a timely manner.
• Deliver food to guests within and outside of your section.
• Check back with guests, provide refills, and pre-bus throughout the guest experience.
• Responsible for complete set up, stocking, and service of assigned area.
• Maintain neat, clean, and organized areas at all times.
• Follow all established uniform guidelines and appearance standards.
• Assist in all aspects of operation when necessary.
• Act as a role model and present oneself as a credit to Harrah's.
• Notify management of incidents involving possible excessive alcohol consumption.
• Process guest checks and payments in compliance with cash handling policies.
• Adhere to all department and company policies and procedures.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
