At our US MFG in Whitsett, NC, we drive excellence in manufacturing and logistics to support our Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG). We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Server Sr. Process Engineer to lead and optimize server production operations. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality output, process efficiency, and alignment with Lenovo's global manufacturing standards.

  • Process Improvement
  • Optimizes processes and systems by working with operations on the floor to streamline the process , elimination of non-value added process steps and building best practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions.
  • Manufacturing Process Development:
  • Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures.
  • Supplier and Manufacturing Management:
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to develop and optimize custom parts and production processes.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Risk Management:
  • Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, Manufacturing Systems software, data analysis tools, and other relevant software.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in server manufacturing or technical production.
  • Experience with Linux systems, server hardware, and enterprise fulfillment operations.
  • Ability to lead projects independently with less oversight.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
