About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Server / Order Taker to join our Senior Living dining team. This position provides table-side service to residents, takes meal orders using a computer or tablet, and ensures all dietary needs and allergies are followed accurately. The ideal candidate is computer literate, organized, a quick learner, and able to stand for long periods. Experience in senior living or healthcare dining is a plus.

Requirements

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred
• Computer literate and comfortable using tablets or POS systems
• Knowledge of special diets (low sodium, diabetic, heart healthy, puree, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Quick learner with good time management
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Education : High School Diploma/GED
• Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe certification if required
• Experience : None required; 1+ years of dining services experience preferred
• Skills & Abilities: Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to stand for long hours
• Ability to carry trays and lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and respectful table-side service to senior residents
• Accurately take meal orders using a digital ordering system
• Understand and follow special diets and food allergies
• Communicate dietary needs clearly with kitchen staff
• Deliver meals promptly and ensure accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Manage time effectively during busy meal periods
