You Are: UST is searching for a Server Lab Technician who will work with engineers across firmware, hardware, and systems teams to debug and resolve platform issues. The opportunity: · Assemble, configure, and test server hardware platforms for bring-up. · Install and configure operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware) and drivers. · Perform BIOS, CPLD, FW, VR, and BMC installation/flashing, including chipset driver updates. · Connect systems to network environments using DHCP/Static IP configurations. · Receive and investigate hardware/software issues reported by engineering teams. · Develop and implement debug tools and procedures to accelerate issue resolution. · Perform root cause analysis of hardware/software failures and document findings. · Maintain detailed documentation of hardware/software configurations, debug activities, and results. · Train and mentor new engineers on debug procedures, tools, and platform setup. · Support customers by troubleshooting and resolving platform-level issues. · Stay current on emerging hardware, firmware, and software technologies.
