About The Position

Join the team at Icicle Village Resort as a Server, where you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Requirements

  • Prior experience or training preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Necessary State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to provide an excellent level of customer service, even in stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment.
  • Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced role.
  • Must be comfortable working across a large resort property involving a significant amount of walking and transporting supplies.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in challenging weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Set tables with chinaware, glass, silver, and linens.
  • Clear tables as necessary and set up buffets as needed.
  • Serve food and beverage to guests and provide quality customer service.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by reporting unsafe conditions and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Take orders and serve food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
  • Enter orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicate any special requests to the culinary team.
  • Coordinate the timing of each course to correspond with the dining pace of the guests.
  • Assemble food items, such as appetizers, salads, and soups.
  • Ensure attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages.
  • Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items.
  • Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
  • Keep work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Advise guests, clients, and team members on matters relating to food and beverage offerings.
  • Assist in all areas of service and production including hosting, bussing, cleaning, and dishwashing.
  • Support other F&B departments including Outlets, Banquets, and Guest Breakfast as needed.
  • Exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged, and following through on all requests.
