About The Position

RiverWoods Durham is currently seeking a full time server to join our fun, creative, and talented culinary services team while providing excellent customer service to our residents in our Independent Living setting. The schedule for this role would be 11am to 7:30pm and would include work over at least one weekend day.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent of GED.
• 1 year of culinary experience in basic food preparation with hot and cold food items; server experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Must be available weekends and Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Setup breakfast station using designated standards.
• Take orders using POS and prepare breakfast items for residents a la minute.
• Set place setting with clean and sanitized flatware and glassware.
• Break down and clean breakfast station and reset for lunch with deli preparation.
• Present residents with lunch options and take orders using POS system.
• Prepare assigned menu items in conjunction with central kitchen for lunch service and serve to residents.
• Remove all dirty plates, flatware, glassware etc., from service, wash, sanitize and place in designated location.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of dining space is completed daily using the appropriate checklist.
• Assist in maintaining proper stock levels of all items necessary for resident comfort and care.
• Ability to operate ovens, dishwasher, mixer, slicer and other general kitchen equipment to greatest advantage.
