About the position

The Server position at Cosm involves delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a memorable experience for guests. The role requires a passion for the food and beverage industry and adherence to company policies and procedures to maintain high hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare section for service at scheduled times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage menus, specials, and seasonal offerings.
• Follow Cosm's Pillars of Service for each guest as outlined in training materials.
• Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system with minimal errors.
• Assist team members to ensure guest satisfaction through a one-team approach.
• Adhere to company accounting policies regarding transactions and discounts.
• Engage with guests, coworkers, and managers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure guests are well taken care of from entry to exit.
• Stay informed about the company's products, services, promotions, and events.
• Follow directions from supervisors and assist with additional tasks as needed.
• Comply with state liquor laws and company policies regarding alcohol service.
• Attend ongoing training sessions related to food, bar, or service.
• Minimize breakage of china and glassware.
• Rotate and stock coolers with required products.
• Be flexible to work various shifts, including late hours, holidays, and weekends.
• Maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor towards guests and team members.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Demonstrate good time management and communication skills.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous serving experience in a fast-paced full-service establishment.
• Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to write in basic English.
• Food handlers' card and state-recognized responsible alcohol certification.
• Legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local and state laws.
• Ability to continuously stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Frequent bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
• Occasional kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds.
