About The Position

The Evening Server at Farmhouse Inn is responsible for providing exceptional service in a fine dining environment. This role requires maintaining knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and changes in service. The server must work cooperatively with team members, communicate effectively, and take initiative to resolve issues. Responsibilities include setting up the restaurant for service, serving food and beverages according to standards, monitoring guest satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness in all guest areas. The position demands flexibility, motivation, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a fine dining restaurant as a server, busser, or related role.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure.
• Ability to work interdepartmentally with Restaurant, Kitchen, Spa, and other teams.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs, including weekend and holiday availability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a high-volume fine dining environment.
• Knowledge of wine and beverage pairings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and any changes in menu or service.
• Supports team members in the pursuit of department goals.
• Communicates effectively with the leadership team and team members.
• Sets up the restaurant for service, including tables, silverware, glassware, and linen.
• Completes side work in a timely fashion as directed by the Food & Beverage Director.
• Serves water, bread, coffee, and teas, and all dishes according to Farmhouse Inn standards.
• Monitors and observes guests to ensure satisfaction and responds promptly to requests.
• Maintains table setup and cleanliness throughout service.
• Maintains constant communication with servers, sommeliers, and the kitchen.
• Helps with receiving, unpacking, delivery, and storing of goods for the restaurant.
• Monitors all guest areas in the restaurant to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
