About The Position

Food comforts the soul and excites the taste buds! As a Server - Dining Associate, your role in bringing delicious meals to our residents is crucial. This position may prepare food and drinks, serve meals, follow basic menus and recipes, restock inventory, and keep records. By following sanitation, food handling, and safety policies, as well as building relationships with those around you, you will provide excellent service to our residents.

Requirements

• High school graduate or hold GED equivalent preferred but not required
• Ability to stand for long hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language
• Possess basic mathematical skills
• Ability to act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations
• Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
• Willingness to cross-train in various job duties within VMRC Dining Services
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, coworkers, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner
