About The Position

The Server at Cantina provides food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role involves welcoming guests, taking and serving orders, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment. The Server is responsible for promoting guest relations and ensuring compliance with responsible alcohol service policies.

Requirements

• County of San Diego Food Handler Card
• CA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification
• 21 years of age
• 1 year of food server experience

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provides guests with food and beverage service by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the restaurant area.
• Answers questions about menu items and promptly takes and serves food and beverage orders.
• Enters orders into the point of sale system, including discounts, and delivers checks to the cashier for processing.
• Promotes guest relations by responding to guest requests in a timely manner and offering information regarding promotions.
• Ensures responsible alcohol beverage service policies are followed by checking identification and monitoring alcohol consumption.
• Maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning surfaces and disposing of trash.
• Ensures restaurant stations are stocked and clean by submitting supply requisitions and replenishing condiments.
