About The Position

Job Summary: The A la Carte Server is responsible for meeting the needs of members and guests in every aspect of the food and beverage experience. This includes dining and bar services. Servers are expected to provide exceptional service to members and guests while adhering to the Club's service standards. The server works closely with the rest of the house to achieve the strategic vision of the Club while still providing the best possible service to its members. Overview of the Desired Skills: A la Carte Server is an essential member of our dining team who is responsible for maintaining high visibility with our Club's membership. A la Carte servers are expected to be quick on their feet (both literally and metaphorically), have a courteous and friendly attitude, and are expected to present menus and serve food and beverages. We are looking for an A la Carte server who can lead our business objectives while representing our Club culture and values. Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in and comprehend a wide range of social contexts and interact with our members in an appropriate manner.
  • Hospitality enthusiast
  • Dining room and service experience and knowledge
  • Team player mentality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to safely carry, lift, push, pull and maneuver trays of up to 40 pounds of food & furniture.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a welcoming and professional environment for members to feel comfortable and confident knowing that they can count on you to look after their dining needs.
  • Keep members up to date on specials and menu changes, making recommendations that members will enjoy.
  • Help answer questions about food, drinks and other Club activities and upcoming events.
  • Allow members to place food and beverage orders and enter them into our POS system that sends them to the kitchen.
  • Quickly deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to members.
  • Identify and communicate special requests, including dietary restrictions.
  • Side work at the beginning and end of every shift as needed by your service station assignment.
  • Keep clean service areas by adhering to sanitation, health and safety regulations.
  • Clear and reset tables.
  • Observe members' dining experience.
  • Ensure members are happy with their food and service.
  • Respond quickly and politely to any requests.
