About The Position

The Server Assistant will provide high member service levels to all restaurant guests by providing prompt service and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials. The Server Assistant will perform member service duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times and support the service team to ensure that the members have an enjoyable dining experience. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to event set up and break down, the proper setting of tables, removing used dishes and place settings, assisting with cleaning duties, and complying with all Mesa Verde Country Club policies and procedures.

  • Jonas experience is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • CPR/AED certified preferred
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) software, internet skills, POS and Foretees software.

Responsibilities

  • Set banquet tables, chairs, and buffets for requested setup for special functions and member dining
  • Wipe tables and seats with cloths, and replace dirty tablecloths
  • Set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies
  • Carry dirty dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
  • Clean up spilled food, drink, and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash
  • Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties in order to facilitate member service
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
  • Serve ice water, coffee, rolls, and butter to patrons
  • Fill ice bins
  • Carry food, dishes, trays, and silverware from kitchens and supply departments to serving counters
  • Serve food to members when Servers, Food Runners, or Bartenders need assistance
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas and other areas of restaurants, and mop and vacuum floors
  • Stock and set card room
  • Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of all food menu items, including the wine list and specials
  • Keep kitchen station clean and organized. Ensures that utensils and steak knives are polished and stocked
  • Ensures that glasses are polished and stocked
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with members and co-workers
  • Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers
