About The Position

The Server Assistant is responsible for warmly welcoming members and guests, managing reservations and seating with discretion, and maintaining the refined atmosphere expected in an exclusive club setting. The ideal candidate is polished, attentive to detail, and highly personable. This role assists with the proper and timely delivery of food and beverage items ordered by members and guests. This position supports Club dining by maintaining clean, organized dining and service areas, stocking items for service and events, and preparing and polishing tableware, glassware, and flatware to Club standards. No supervisory duties are included in this position.

  • Must be at least 14 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year experience as food expeditor, busser, waitstaff, server, or similar position.
  • Experience in a private club or fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Manage reservations and seating flow while prioritizing member preferences.
  • Escort members to their table, distribute menus, and assist with chairs, coats, etc.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and entrance area.
  • Ensure menus are orderly, clean, and up to date.
  • Set up wait staff area, dining room, and patio before, during and after shift to ensure a clean and professional atmosphere.
  • Prepare and maintain water glasses/pitchers, beverageware, and flatware for service.
  • Stock, fold, and organize napkins for service.
  • Ensure server stations are fully stocked with necessary supplies, Replenish member/guest beverages as needed.
  • Bus and clean dining tables as members/guests depart according to Club policy, procedure, and standards.
  • Collect and dispose of trash from dining rooms, Poolside Grille, and other specified serving areas.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues to ensure seamless service and consistently high-quality member and guest experience.
  • Assist Servers in delivering orders according to Club policy, procedure, and standards; assists in running and preparing food items.
  • Transfer information between members/guests, kitchen and servers/waitstaff as needed (e.g., special requests, preferences, etc.).
  • Communicate with Service Captain to ensure all needs are met and tasks are completed during the shift.
  • Uphold Club standards for dress code, conduct, and ambiance.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
