About The Position

As a Server Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting restaurant servers and enhancing the dining experience by clearing dishes, resetting tables, offering bread and water service, non-alcoholic drink refills and running food.

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift.
Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Nice To Haves

1-year previous experience as a server, or server assistant in a full-service restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Promotes superior guest service.

Assists with table maintenance by clearing dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware, sanitizing tables and resetting them for new guests.
Assists with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware.
Assists servers by delivering food/beverages, refilling water and drinks, and bringing bread or condiments.
Greets guests, assists with seating, and responds to requests in a friendly, professional manner.
Ensures that the menus, crockery, and cutlery are cleaned and replenished between tables.
Manages and restocks the inventory of napkins, linen, silverware, plates, cutlery, straws, salt, pepper, and other table condiments and supplies.
Moves tables, chairs, and furniture to accommodate customers as needed.
Maintains the cleanliness of the floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Assists customers with questions, requests, and redirects, as necessary.
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
Other duties as assigned.
