Matthew's Restaurant in San Marco is one of Jacksonville’s top fine dining restaurants that features inspired regional cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. From creative handmade pastas to sustainably raised meats and pristine local seafood, the menu at Matthew’s is carefully crafted each day based on availability and seasons. Our Server Assistants assist servers by performing any tasks necessary to ensure an exceptional customer experience. You are a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and communication skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a full service restaurant preferred
- The genuine desire to provide outstanding hospitality to our guests
- Professional, well groomed, and confident with an outgoing personality
- Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to other team members
- Hardworking with a positive and upbeat attitude
- Comfortable working with a team
- Be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Food Handler Certification a plus and will be required within 60 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Be a brand ambassador, ensuring each guest has a memorable experience
- Assist waitstaff and bartenders in providing excellent guest service
- Run food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guests have everything they need
- Clean and reset tables
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Perform opening, closing and side duties as required
- Support and assist fellow team members whenever possible
- Contribute to an overall positive and collaborative environment
