About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Server Assistant for our Sortino's Italian Kitchen. In this role, you will provide friendly, responsive service to create a beyond expectation dining experience for all guests. To actively participate as a team and use core values and service expectations listed in the Kalahari Promise daily. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll keep tables clean and dining areas tidy, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.

Requirements

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills are a must with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the Resort.
Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions,
Must be self-directed to work on your own during busy times.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant, hotel, resort, or customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

Take dirty tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in the appropriate areas for washing.
Between seating, promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths. Check floors and clean them as required. Reset and arrange tabletop.
Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean and replenish supplies as needed and/or alert the common area cleaners of problem areas.
Communicate with server and hostess/host to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
