About The Position
The Server Assistant role at Four Seasons involves assisting food servers with the serving of food, setting up and clearing china, glass, and silver, and attending to guest needs and requests. Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Minimum one year food service or related work.
- Ability to carry and balance a tray.
Responsibilities
- Stock linen, china, silver and glassware for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition.
- Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
- Preparation of condiment and garnish items.
- Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
- Keeping the table neat and clean, coordinate service with Server.
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
- Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Moving tables and chairs.
- Buffet setup and breakdown.
