Server Assistant
About The Position
The Server Assistant supports the service team in delivering a seamless and refined dining experience. This role is essential in maintaining the pace and elegance of service in a fine dining environment, ensuring that guests feel attended to and that the dining room operates efficiently. Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and professionally. Clear and reset tables between courses and after guests depart. Refill water glasses and provide bread service or other table-side amenities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations. Monitor guest needs and communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff. Ensure all service ware is polished and properly stocked. Support the overall flow of service, anticipating needs and responding quickly. Other Responsibilities All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by leadership.
Requirements
- TABC Certification
- Food Handler Certification
- 1+ year restaurant service experience, preferred
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to take ownership of issues
- Ability to embody and impart the Loren’s unique culture to all associates
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles, the food server function and restaurant and kitchen operations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, servers and kitchen staff.
- Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
- Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
- Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to minute written and verbal details, particularly when performing multiple tasks.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 lbs to include serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time.
- Balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching handling, fingering throughout the shift.
- Mobility -full range of mobility and the ability to travel up to 300 feet on a regular basis throughout the shift.
- Continuous standing -during preparation, during service hours or during expediting.
