About The Position

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is seeking a Part-Time AM Server to join our Food & Beverage team. Located in the heart of Portland’s historic Old Port District, our property is a proud Historic Hotel of America, known for exceptional guest service, timeless charm, and a welcoming team environment. If you enjoy hospitality, creating memorable guest experiences, and working in a fast-paced restaurant setting, we would love to hear from you. Schedule: Monday–Wednesday | 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM This is a year-round position and is not eligible for J1 or H-2B sponsorship. Position Summary The AM Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by professionally greeting them, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals efficiently, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, team-oriented, and thrives in a guest-facing hospitality environment.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• TIPS Certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Monitor order timing and ensure prompt, accurate service
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties
• Restock service items throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet
• Support fellow servers, hosts, food runners, and supervisors
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed
• Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures
• Assist with training new team members as needed
