Requirements

  • YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 5-7 years. Minimum of 5 years experience in the use, support and maintenance of Enterprise IT systems, software, networks, and related hardware.
  • EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Enterprise IT Systems.
  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED Professional IT certifications (i.e. Microsoft, Amazon, Vmware)
  • SKILLS REQUIRED: K nowledge of physical and virtual systems, Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and any two-factor authentication tools and applications. Knowledge of PowerShell or Python scripting tools. Knowledge of networking protocols and information security. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and any other Microsoft applications and tools. Knowledge of modern storage systems (SAN, NAS) on-prem and/or cloud-based. Knowledge of modern backup and recovery software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to optimize and improve existing processes, systems, and platforms of substantial technical complexity.
  • Provides next-level support to end users
  • Participates in planning sessions to capture future system architecture design.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud services
  • Ability to optimize and improve existing processes, systems, and platforms.
  • Understanding of AWS and/or Azure cost management and budgeting tools.
  • Works cross-functionally to create document requirements and develops and delivers solutions.
  • Extensive skills with Windows networking, Active Directory and Windows Security
  • Strong knowledge of Vmware virtualization platform
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, Network Security)
  • Detailed understanding of information systems in the healthcare operations domain desired
  • Strong knowledge of server health reporting and monitoring
  • Ability to evaluate system’s capacity, utilization trends and plan future needs accordingly
  • Active participation in on call rotation and occasional work outside normal business hours
  • Capable of e valuating, developing, and implementing hardware and software solutions to ensure data and system integrity
  • Ability to r eview and deploy service packs, hot fixes, system updates, and vendor-supplied patches
  • Ability to create, modify, and maintain existing standard operating procedures, policies, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborates with other Business Units in assessing, evaluating, and implementing relevant technologies, applications, and capabilities as per agreed-upon business requirements.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains visual diagrams and technical documents capturing current and future system state.
  • Responds to customer concerns as soon as possible with compassion and understanding.
  • Promotes a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation, and respect for patients, visitors and members of the health care team.

  • Assists the Server Team and Server Manager in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Assists in the research, evaluation and selection of network systems and devices for the appropriate technology and cost effectiveness to meet hospital needs.
  • Responsible for configuration, installation and testing of file/print/application servers.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory for servers and maintains server integrity with Service Packs, Security Updates, and ROM upgrades as required.
  • Assists Server Manager with creation, maintenance and support of Enterprise user account and group information and security and integrity of the network, employing standardized Network Management Tools and software.
  • Oversees installation, configuration, and maintenance of server systems and administration workstations. Responsible for Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Virtual Infrastructure and creation of user account.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate procedures and controls to ensure timely completion of all required network and support functions.
  • Keeps management informed and provides routine reports on functional areas and coordinates with other departments, physicians, research and outside vendors to assure appropriate scheduling of jobs and preventative maintenance.
  • Oversees documentation, records and reports for functional areas as well as change management logs.
  • Maintains professional growth and development for self and staff, through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations, to keep abreast of latest trends in computers and networking.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as required.
  • Implements server based projects and initiatives as directed by managers and directors.
  • Maintains accurate and timely daily records on the IT hours reporting duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
