About The Position

NX Automotive Logistics (NXAL) Operations Departments functions within a dynamic warehouse or manufacturing environment, where associates may encounter moderate levels of dust, dirt, and odors generated by packaging materials and propane-powered forklifts. Additionally, ambient noise from production equipment is a common aspect of the workplace. Temperature conditions fluctuate throughout the year. Associates are frequently required to operate computers, scanners, read, write, and engage in direct communication—both in person and through various digital and telecommunication platforms. NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc. is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) SEQ Coordinator to join our warehouse team! As a condition of employment with NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc., any successful job applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and to successfully complete a background investigation.

Requirements

  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ANSI and related Safety/Quality standards.
  • Ability to analyze safety situations and make sound decisions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to assist with departmental safety projects
  • Experience developing safety training materials and training associates and leadership on safety programs.
  • Microsoft office proficient, Intermediate computer skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong problem-solving skills and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports an effective safety/quality program that will prevent accidents, injuries and service failures.
  • Participates in efforts for continuous improvement and company safety vision.
  • Fosters a preemptive positive culture focused on Safety and Quality and promotes Safety program with associates.
  • Oversees effective safety communication program which develops respect for safety, high morale and good work attitude.
  • Utilizes Intelex reporting system to document safety incidents and record PIV training documentation to ensure corporate safety compliance.
  • Assists in developing work instructions, reviewing and approving changes to ensure compliance with safety and quality objectives.
  • Continuously reviews, analyzes data and evaluates the work organization environment, and conducts process/safety audits to identify safety and quality risks that the department is facing and recommend remedial action to mitigate identified risks.
  • Supports Coordination with Customer/Other Safety personnel and NXAL management the investigation of all safety and quality events that occur, identify possible causes and contributing factors and recommend remedial action to correct.
  • Performs Ergo Pre-assessments as required.
  • Supports department First Aid program including serving as first response for medical treatment of injured associates.
  • Assists in the coordination of Emergency Action Drills, Fire and Tornado.
  • Organizes and develops trainings for associates (PIV, process, safety, new hire, safety alerts, etc.)
  • Assists in OSHA compliance including reporting of accident statistics, and monitoring safety trends, Interprets OSHA regulations, ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, complies injury and illness related records.
  • Cultivates strong SEQCDM Root Cause Analysis and assist with investigating safety and quality incidents.
  • Understands internal and external trigger lists to ensure proper incident reporting.
  • Maintains required equipment certifications.
  • Attends Train the Trainer in order to facilitate and effectively evaluate Company Equipment Training.
  • Performs other duties in or out of the department as needed and as directed by the Management team.
  • Supports safety operation/procedures on both shifts as required by production.
