About The Position

We are looking for a Separator Operator in Lake Norden, South Dakota. Monitor raw whey flow through the Clarifiers and Separators for skimming and sending to whey HTST and whey UF for further processing. Regulate factors such as skims and temperature, making adjustments depending on the type of whey to be produced. Take frequent readings and log upwards of fifty variables. 3-2-2-3 schedule Rotating monthly between nights and days: 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am $1.50 nighttime differential pay between 6pm-6am Holiday pay Our Lake Norden, SD, plant is home to approximately 450 employees and boasts a brand new, state of the art cheese and whey facility. We produce mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano, asiago, and Monterey Jack cheeses as well as various whey streams. Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work as a team
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor raw whey flow through the Clarifiers and Separators for skimming and sending to whey HTST and whey UF for further processing.
• Regulate factors such as skims and temperature, making adjustments depending on the type of whey to be produced.
• Take frequent readings and log upwards of fifty variables.
• Perform daily operations and cleaning of equipment associated with the separator room.
• Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner
