About The Position

Wowza is hiring a Senior SEO Strategist to drive organic growth and strengthen our digital presence. You’ll develop and execute strategies that improve search visibility, increase qualified traffic, and boost lead conversions across our web ecosystem. As streaming, AI, and search evolve, this role is pivotal in optimizing Wowza’s digital footprint for the next generation of buyers and creators. You’ll own our SEO roadmap—spanning content optimization, technical SEO, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration with product and marketing teams. The ideal candidate combines deep SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) expertise with data-driven creativity, thrives in fast-paced environments, and knows how to connect organic strategy directly to measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of SEO experience in B2B tech, SaaS, or digital media industries.
  • Proven success driving organic growth and conversion across complex digital ecosystems.
  • Expertise in keyword research, site architecture, and advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO implementation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a sharp analytical and strategic mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable moving from log insights to migrations and architecture improvements.
  • Prioritize SEO/AEO projects by revenue impact and design search journeys that convert B2B buyers.
  • Skilled in prompting and LLM use; you understand how to structure prompts for automation and influence answer engine results.
  • Proficient in GA4 and Search Console; working knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Looker); SQL/Python a plus.
  • Strong grasp of website performance metrics; effective partner to designers, developers, and engineers.
  • Build scalable systems—dashboards, QA tools, automation workflows—that enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Excellent communicator who leads cross-functional projects across marketing, product, and operations.
  • Automate the repeatable, focus on high-impact initiatives, and raise the bar for SEO and AEO excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead Wowza’s SEO roadmap defining priorities across on-page, off-page, and technical initiatives.
  • Conduct keyword, audience, and content gap analyses to identify growth opportunities across video streaming and SaaS verticals.
  • Partner with content and growth teams to align SEO strategy with major campaigns, product launches, and brand positioning.
  • Stay ahead of evolving search and AI-driven discovery trends to future-proof Wowza’s organic search strategy.
  • Audit and optimize site architecture, metadata, internal linking, and schema markup for discoverability and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance crawlability, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, and overall page speed.
  • Optimize content for intent, UX, and conversion, ensuring every page delivers value to both users and search engines.
  • Perform QA reviews in staging and production environments to validate SEO implementation accuracy.
  • Develop a strategic link-building program leveraging outreach, partnerships, and digital PR to strengthen domain authority.
  • Support reputation and discoverability efforts through third-party platforms, media mentions, and social amplification.
  • Engage in community and technical platform optimization to reinforce visibility and credibility in the streaming ecosystem.
  • Track, analyze, and report SEO performance using GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and other analytics tools.
  • Build dashboards and automated alerts to monitor KPIs, rankings, conversion rates, and UX metrics.
  • Present actionable insights and performance updates to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams.
