SEO Content Intern
About The Position
Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an SEO Content Intern to join the Marketing team. This position is located in our New York City office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote. Job Overview: The SEO intern will assist the SEO team with on- and off-page strategies, content creation, and updating existing content across our 20+ brands. This position will also learn how the SEO team collaborates with the Audience Team (Social Media & Email), as well as the Editorial Team and Art Department when creating campaigns. SEO best practices, audits, keyword research, backlinking, identifying content gaps, and reporting will be taught through examples using relevant tools.
Requirements
- Marketing or relevant major/experience a plus
- SEO knowledge or experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, WordPress preferred but not required
- Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Suite preferred (emphasis on Sheets/Excel)
- Enjoys collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities
- Identify new content ideas through keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gaps
- Update existing content to ensure content follows SEO best practices
- Run site audits and resolve errors and warnings impacting organic search
- Manage a cross-department content campaign
- Learn basic SEO strategies and tools that will assist with daily tasks
