Requirements

  • 8 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Crowd administration and customization.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) for developing custom workflows and automation within Jira.
  • Strong understanding of integration between Atlassian tools and other systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL for database interactions, and familiarity with REST APIs for system integrations.
  • Proficiency with JQL (Jira Query Language) for building advanced queries inside Jira.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven project management skills to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Active SAP access.
  • Significant experience managing large-scale projects or multiple teams focused on Atlassian tools.
  • Exposure to strategic planning and executive-level decision making.
  • Familiarity with other IT service management and collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and integration with Atlassian toolsets.
  • Experience with Groovy programming language.
  • Experience with Adaptavist ScriptRunner.
  • Atlassian Certified - Jira Administration for Data Center.
  • Atlassian Certified - Jira Administration for Cloud.
  • IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, as per DoD Cyber Workforce requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage Jira, Confluence, and Crowd systems.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Develop custom capabilities within the Atlassian toolset.
  • Utilize scripting languages for developing custom workflows and automation within Jira.
  • Manage large-scale Jira and Confluence instances, including performance tuning and scaling.
  • Train, mentor, and lead a technical team.
