Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer . This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel Program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You Will Get To Do: Review and interpret existing and proposed environmental, health, safety & sustainability (EHS&S) regulations to determine applicability and impact for sites. Assist with implementation of programs to comply with EHS&S regulations. Partner with business leaders to continuously improve the culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS&S programs. Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS&S programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation. Complete audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assist in pollution prevention activities. Interfaces with regulatory representatives, senior management, the site EHS&S Committee. Assists with the implementation of EHS&S management systems at the site level. Additional roles and responsibilities may include: Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies. Provide timely and accurate submission of necessary reports to the company and regulatory agencies. Write and update EHS&S plans and procedures. Apply for new permits and renewals. Conduct compliance inspections and identify actions necessary to meet regulatory requirements. Coordinates EHS&S training for employees and conducts instructor-led EHS&S training. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
