Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Pathways Associate Systems Engineer. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and supports the Sentinel program.

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment.
  • Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management in development of Support Equipment for mission operational system on the Sentinel program.
  • Apply concepts and practices to Support Equipment Analysis and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for Support Equipment Architecture development.
  • Perform analyses at all levels of product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements as applicable to support equipment and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into support equipment specifications using DOORS.
  • Develop Architectural framework products using CAMEO MBSE product toolsets.
  • Ensure support equipment requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with technical needs of the Sentinel program.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 1 year of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Experience applying new advanced learning technologies, methods, processes and tools.
  • Academic or Practical Experience with systems engineering (writing requirements, defining interfaces, performing verification activities).
  • Experience with support equipment development and fielding.
  • Experience with Training Device development and fielding.
  • Experience with DOORs.
  • Experience with Cameo.
  • Developing Interface Control Models (ICMs).
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work self-sufficiently.
  • Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Experience with leading a team of diverse, technical backgrounds.
