Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Architecture Engineering Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, UT. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and relationship-building skills, a track record as an effective communicator, and a problem solver who can innovate while balancing new and traditional ways of doing business. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 6 years of related experience.
  • 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • 2 years of ICBM experience.
  • 2 years of experience using MBSE (using Cameo or Rhapsody).
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
  • Experience with DOORS.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
  • Experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic, and/or technical capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in Integrated Functional Capability Process.
  • Experience with technical development programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IFC Architecture efforts.
  • Support the evolution of the IFC Architecture across multiple IFCs.
  • Define the System and Incremental Features.
  • Develop various diagrams in the IFC Architecture Model.
  • Support the execution and verification efforts.
  • Guide the development effort of an IFC until it culminates in certification.
  • Lead teams and drive horizontal integration of demonstrable, real cyber-physical products.
  • Establish key initiatives in support of the organization’s strategic and tactical plans.
  • Support the directorate in executive internal and external customer meetings.
  • Assess staffing needs and work with team leads to address those needs.
  • Support recruitment activities including the creation of requisitions and conducting interviews.
  • Work with program leaders in establishing personal, program, and functional goals.
  • Provide subordinates with career development recommendations and mentoring.
  • Set and promote high standards for engineering development.
  • Foster a working environment that reinforces accountability to Northrop Grumman Values.
  • Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure efficient resource assignment.
  • Coach, support, train, and motivate team members.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement activities.
