About The Position

This new ICBM program will design, develop, produce, and deploy new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) interoperable operations. Program activities will also include the employment of digital acquisitions through the application of digital engineering, agile software development, and open systems architectures. BAE Systems, under the Integration Support Contract, is looking for an experienced Engineer to lead, plan, and direct a team of specialized engineers. The engineering manager will ensure the resourcing of the engineering team to support the DOD’s acquisition and deployment of new payload system suites. Will be responsible to Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation. This is a Supervisory Position.

Requirements

  • Any engineering degree, with a master’s degree.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Must possess a current Top Secret Degree.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Hill AFB, Utah, and is not conducive to telework schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an engineer on a missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT I program or ICBM-related experience).
  • Knowledge or previous experience with Air Force Operations and acquisition programs.
  • Previous experience with military weapon systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and direct a team of specialized engineers.
  • Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers.
  • Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation.
  • Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.
  • Direct supervision, guiding and developing more junior engineering team members.
