Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Software Engineer/ Principal Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 1 year experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree for Software Engineer.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years’ experience; PhD with 1 year experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree for Principal Software Engineer.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• 1+ Year of experience developing software/writing code/software test in JavaScript AND Python.
• 1+ Year of experience in Object-Oriented Programming languages and/or Scripting languages.
• 1+ Year of experience operating in an Agile environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Software development processes.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• Experience with Java.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize software requirements into verification requirements, software test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for software and system level tests and demonstrations.
• Support the development of software requirements and detailed integration software test plans, procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports.
• Execution of software qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements, plans and procedures.
• Develop Automated Testing Solutions: Utilize and expand upon our custom automation software library to create efficient and effective testing solutions.
• Participate in internal and customer software test planning working groups.
• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment specific to software.
• Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, software development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
• Review software test plans, procedures, and reports, witness testing as the Cognizant Engineer.
• Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
