Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Command & Launch (C&L) Infrastructure Systems Engineering Launch Equipment Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel Program. This role will be located in Roy, UT.

  • Lead the Systems Engineering Capabilities activities for the Command & Launch Infrastructure Launch Equipment team
  • Coordinate vertically and horizontally with multiple engineering teams and organizations
  • Coordinate with customer and supplier engineering teams
  • Coordinate Incremental Functional Capability activities to shape team priorities
  • Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) coordinating with specialty engineering teams
  • Organize and lead execution of multiple Critical Design Review events
  • Provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs)
  • Spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment as the Launch Equipment Systems Engineering Manager
  • Support FHR efforts in areas of process improvement, training and staffing
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of experience
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
  • Managing people experience preferred
  • Active DoD Top Secret with SAP clearance
  • ICBM Experience
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • Experience managing programs or subcontracts in an Earned Value framework – Control Account Manager certified
  • Strong understanding and broad application of engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations
  • Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
