Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sentinel AVE Guidance Computer Execution Systems Engineering Manager 3. This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
  • 3 years of formal management experience including performance reviews for direct reports.
  • 2 years of experience taking a system through a major design review and development.
  • 2 years of experience with program control (IMS, EVMS), budgeting, and staffing.
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Top Secret with SAP clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Success taking a GN&C system through a major design review.
  • Proposal Manager experience leading competitive proposals of $500M in value or greater.
  • Experience training, leading, and directing activities of team members through execution of a formal proposal process.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the U.S. Government’s competitive acquisition process including federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR).
  • Familiarity in working multiple colors of money in parallel (Direct, NCTA, Capital).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) engineers to mature the Guidance System’s Guidance Computer from Preliminary Design phase to a Critical Design Review and beyond.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Guidance Computer team.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management and customers.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment.
