About The Position

The Sensory Panelist position at Nestlé Research & Development is a contract role that involves tasting and evaluating a variety of food samples to assess their characteristics. This position is crucial for supporting product improvements and new launches in the market. As a Sensory Panelist, you will participate in both individual and group tastings, providing valuable feedback on the appearance, aroma, flavor, and texture of food products. Specialized training will be provided to ensure that you are equipped with the necessary skills to perform your duties effectively. The work schedule for this position is fixed, running from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday. Breaks will be provided to help mitigate tasting fatigue, ensuring that you can perform your evaluations accurately. This role requires excellent tasting skills, and candidates will undergo a series of tests to assess their sensory acuity, including evaluations for taste, smell sensitivity, and color blindness. It is essential that candidates do not have any food allergies or intolerances that would prevent them from tasting a wide range of food samples. In addition to tasting, you will be responsible for entering data into the computer system as instructed. Effective communication skills are necessary, as you will need to articulate your evaluations clearly and participate in group discussions with diverse individuals. While no prior experience as a taster is required, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role. The position is supervised by a Sensory Panel Leader who will provide guidance and training throughout your time in this role.
